Welcome to the HLAA Nashville Chapter
Hearing Loss Association Meetings!
We are a very friendly group of people who love to meet others.
Your hearing loss is not a problem here! The meetings are captioned and if you rely on some sign language to help you, we also have an interpreter.
"HUH?" and "WHAT DID YOU SAY?" are expected sayings here, so come and have a great time with others with a hearing loss.
PEOPLE WHO KNOW HOW IT IS TO NOT HEAR VERY WELL.

NASHHHERS TAKE CHATTANOOGA
WALK4HEARING BY STORM

By Karyn Menck
On May 14th, thirteen members of the Nashville Chapter of HLAA traveled to Chattanooga to participate in the third annual Walk4Hearing. The weather was forecast to be rainy; however, it held off until the walk was complete and the sun was even seen at times. Thankfully, the Riverwalk was a beautiful place to hold a walk. There were three prizes awarded for different chapters, and the NaSHHHers won for collecting the most online donations, as well as tied for signing up the most team members. The only thing we didn’t win was the individual that collected the most donations, but there’s always next year! Our goal was set at $1,500 and we exceeded that by collecting a total of $1,980, of which our chapter will receive 40%! The Chattanooga Walk has raised a total of $22,700 as of today and it has just been announced that they have been selected as the winner of the Walk4Hearing Award by National and will receive the award at the convention in Washington, D.C. Congratulations to the Chattanooga Walk4Hearing and particularly our very own NaSHHHers team!
